Is there Design in the Universe or is it all Random Chance?
If anybody looks at a human cell then they cannot fail to see the complexity of it and the design of it. Yet every part of the body is made up of billions of cells with a whole range of different functions!
Each person contains between 10 and 75 trillion cells. There are 200 known variations, each with specific functions and purposes. 1
Each cell contains an estimated one billion compounds, which include 5 million different kinds of proteins. 1
Each cell has a purpose. Each cell knows what its purpose is.
Each cell knows where it is to be situated in the body, each cell knows what it is to do and does it.
Just think about this for a moment. Happened by chance, pure random chance? This complex sequence of events was present in the first human being (or should I say 'beings' because both genders had to be there at the beginning with exactly the same cell setup, and, I must add, the ability to reproduce through sperm, eggs, ovaries, etc and the ability of the female to carry the baby and then produce the child through the process of birth. One mustn't forget that the mother also needed a specialised process to be in place to feed the baby!
Each cell contains in it's nucleus 23 pairs of chromosomes (DNA) with 100,000 genes which can be further broken down into six billion chemical bases. 1
Cells produce numerous products, created by organelles, which we use within our bodies. It is a valid picture to see cells as containing multiple factories all busy working away and producing products which our bodies need.
