Is there Design in the Universe or is it all Random Chance?

Whether one believes that the Universe was created by a Designer or occurred through pure random chance, is simply a question of faith!
None of us were there at the beginning, either when the Universe came into being or
when the earth was being formed.
Evolution is a religion as much as any of the major, global religions. The important point is that it cannot be proven, indeed cannot even be demonstrated! You need faith to believe in a Universe starting purely at random, faith that life 'started' by mistake, faith that life 'evolved' by pure random chance into cells and DNA and living, seeing, thinking people.
It is ironic that it is actually easier to believe in a creator who had the power to create the Universe, than it is to believe it was created by pure, blind, random chance.
So why are people so entrenched in their views?

The big question is ...
Was the Universe and its contents (including us) created by chance OR is there evidence of a designer?
The answer to this question does have consequences.
Thought for the Day
Comets have an orbit around our sun. They are made up of ice and various fozen chemicals. These are melted by the heat of the sun to form the tail. Everytime they orbit the sun they lose some of their tail. Therefore the comets that orbit our sun cannot be millions of years old and are evidence of a 'young' earth.
